I don't know if this preceding comment was directed to me regarding cancelling my order, but I am aware I am under no obligation to take delivery of the truck if I don't want it and the dealership would be able to sell it.

My point is, if I go out and find and buy another truck, i.e., something other than what I exactly wanted, and then I am notified, because I am still in the queue, that the truck I ordered and wanted is now in stock and available for purchase, this will just piss me off!

Deep breaths my man.. just do what I did and wait 539 days for the exact truck you have always wanted.

  2. Welcome to the party pal

    2 years to get built

sitting in Louisville for over a month released…

exact truck ordered 12/26 gets built 2 days after my 2 year old order and gets shipped the day after

its a clown show with no rhyme nor reason

    zone manager ghosts sales manager

ford marketing does nothing but confusion, misdirection and obfuscation

nothing but give us a call again tomorrow and we may have news.

when do 2025 MY banks open?

Any reason given for the shipping delay

    Nope

typical ford.  Ford ships it not the dealer, but it’s not surprising as it took them 2 years to build the truck.  I will be surprised if I receive it by the Fourth of July.

I wish I had your story. Mine goes like this, order conformation for F-350 SRW Limited on 07/28/2023, 45 days later they said, their looking for parts. The End

    Get used to it?

I'm on year 3 of my wait.  I do have a 2023 KR 450, but it’s not what I ordered.  I had to scrounge this thing up, and was only able to get it when the couple that ordered it backed out of their deal.

This is such a mess. After reading more data than I cared to about this strike, this thing could go on for a long time and cause some permanent damage to the American Automakers. The two sides are just too far apart at a time the industry is still crippled from the pandemic,  and US economy is heading for some serious trouble. This could get interesting.

I just went and made some changes with my dealer on my 2024 King Ranch 450 build.  I am glad I have this 2023 KR I was able to source so I know better what I like and don’t like.  It doesn’t affect my build as they are on strike and it never has been picked up yet?

I deleted the sunroof, added the slide in camper certificate, added rapid supplemental heat and did not add engine heater.  I did not reorder the H.O. Engine as I planned.  There really isn’t that noticeable of a difference from driving one.  I’m sure some love it and I would too, but is it really worth 2500?  I’m still on the fence on that.

I also changed paint from the Oxford bright white to the Metallic Star white. I deleted the $780 retractable bed step.  I’ve seen one on a truck and I’m not a fan.  The last change I made was a carpet delete with the all weather mats.

I’m a job #1 order with a priority code of 3. Hopefully this will be picked up if these guys get back to work.

F-450's have been slower builds for the past few years and those of us that order them are accepting of that fact. If I wanted a new truck quicker, I would have ordered a lesser truck. Personally, I'm happy waiting for the more capable truck.

An effective dealer can also greatly assist in expediting the order. My Sales Manager is excellent, as I only waited 9 months for a F-450 KRU.

Lol so the goal posts keep moving. So now add to the list find your dealer and only wait nine months for a KR ultimate.  Seeing that there is no KRU in 2023 I’m taking you ordered your truck before this?

Can your dealer source 19.5” wheels since Ford cannot?  Unless they go back to those wonky 17” wheels like 2011 450s will be vaporware.  Don’t you think leadership should plan for this since they have already jacked things up for the prior year with sourcing from vendors

What’s the definition of insanity again?

I don’t think you understand, I own a ‘23 450 KR that I located on the other side of the country.  I’m not upset that I don’t have one as it’s parked in my barn.

But Ford being run by a cabal of nincompoops is something I do not want.  I’ve never not owned a Ford in my life.  In fact this is my 8th Super Duty and my 5th King Ranch.  The brand is being ruined by this knuckleheads incompetence and that is not something I desire.

There is currently exhausted availability on KR. Some component of that trim is no longer available.  So you won’t get scheduled until that component becomes available or you change to Platinum or any other trim.

There are over 10,000 2024 Superduty’s already scheduled for October 2023. Other trims are getting scheduled and will start being built on October 5.

How many are 450s?  Not many.  It’s embarrassingly obvious that Farley couldn’t find his way out of a corner.

So don’t order a KR, now don’t order a 450… when does it stop?

So what is your point, except to vent?

Obviously, Ford makes money selling trucks, and loses money by not selling. Obviously they are having supply issues from their outsource producers.

If you can’t wait, buy something else, but bitching and throwing mud does nothing for you.

My 23 Limited was cancelled and my 24 is scheduled in three weeks. First world problems.

If it’s delayed, so what. Nothing I can do but remain patient.
‘No GM of Ram for me.

    So which one are you?

I was told by my dealer that no trim above Lariat can be ordered for SuperDuty?

    Does that sound right?

How would someone get a King Ranch, Platinum or Premium?

I ordered a 24 KR but it doesn’t have a build date.  Just typical ford doing ford stuff.  Imagine that

I’m glad I scored my 23 F450 KR that I had to drive 3/4 of the way across the country to get.

I just got the “we are still very sorry” email on my platinum. I thought that if they weren’t scheduled by now then there was no chance of getting scheduled and you had to go to a 24??? Are the still scheduling 2023s currently?

I just received mine as well.

Since it didn’t specify my wife asked me is it for the 2022 we didn’t receive, the 2023 we didn’t receive or the 2024 that’s on order.

My reply to her was simply, yes.

eta: I found Farley’s cell through a mutual business acquaintance.  I’m thinking about shooting him a text message asking for clarification on their emails?
