  1. So, I know there is a strike and that will probably affect production at some point if that isn’t resolved. Back in August, I ordered a 2024 Lariat Ultimate Tremor and have received a confirmation e-mail and follow-up e-mail regarding that truck. Earlier this week I got the standard “….supply chain issues…..we’re working on it” e-mail from Ford earlier regarding my 2023 Platinum order from October 2022. It’s not been scheduled, no VIN, nada. I was under the impression that any 2023s that haven’t been scheduled by now wouldn’t be built. Why am I still receiving an e-mail regarding that order if that’s the case?
  2. Ordered my ‘24 today. Instead of a Platinum I went with a Lariat Ultimate Tremor. I need some advice though. My dealer is new. Well, they purchased another dealer about 16 months ago. I don’t think they fully understand the ordering system. I want to give them some pointers about “priority.” What’s the skinny on how to get vehicles in the highest priority?
  3. Orders for a ‘24 can be made? I didn’t realize they were open yet….
  4. I’ve had a Platinum on order since 11/1. It is “supposed” to be “picked up” for build in August. We shall see. If it doesn’t get built as a ‘23 model and I have to order a ‘24, I’ll be switching to a Lariat Ultimate. There’s very little difference and it seems like a good number of Lariat Ultimates have been built in ‘23 and are still being built. I’ve gotta believe it gives me a better chance of having my vehicle built.
  5. Pardon my ignorance, but do ALL F-250 Platinums come with the multi contour seats? I keep seeing them mentioned in posts as being a constraint item. I have a Platinum on order and I didn’t see these seats as an option when I ordered in late October. If I go to build a new one today, I don’t see them as an option.
  6. I’ll be reaching out to my dealer today. The answers I get to my questions will determine if I walk next door and order a 2024 GMC 2500 HD AT4. I’ve never owned a GM product but the fact that they seem to be able produce vehicles while Ford struggles to get them through the production line tells me they have their act together better at this point in time. It makes me think that might relate to turning out a better product as well. Admittedly, I’m nervous about making the switch but I’m frustrated with what’s happening with Ford and lose more confidence in the brand every day…..
  7. Thanks for bringing such great information and knowledge to this thread and board. It significantly enhances my understanding of the way all of this works. You are a terrific resource.
  8. Has a ‘23 Platinum or King Ranch been built or made it to scheduling yet? Has anyone with an order for one heard anything encouraging about their build?
  9. For about a few weeks now, I’ve been seeing dealers with ads for Lariats and lower trims. They all started out with no pictures or computer generated pictures. For about a week now, some have begun to have pictures of the actual vehicles at the dealerships. Many of the vehicles have a market adjustment added but most don’t. Today I found 3 ads for Platinums. None have pictures of the actual vehicles yet. If the Platinums follow the same trend as the Lariats, perhaps we see some showing up on lots in a few weeks!
  10. Thanks for the great advice! I will call him to get it ordered….
  11. It appears my salesman didn’t know what was going on. Yesterday he sent me a document showing as of Week 18 (last week - week of April 30) Super Duty had no availability for the following: 360 Degree Camera, SC/CC Running Boards, Fifth Wheel Hitch Kit, Lariat, Mobile Office Pack, 205 WB, 18” Aluminum Whl. So….my build could not be ordered. I asked him to save my build and order it when/if availability changed. We shall see.
  12. Right? I’ve seen some dealers adding a “market adjustment” as high as $20,000. It’s possible there are others even higher. It’s insane. I guess when supply is limited and demand is high, people are willing to pay. I’m content to order and be patient…and avoid the “market adjustment” fee added to the sticker price.
  13. I AM that guy. 2 days ago I saw a 2023 F-250 Lariat Ultimate with Sport Appearance and Tremor package at a dealer online and promptly called my dealer to order one. A few weeks ago they told me that my Platinum build (ordered November 2, 2022) was scheduled to be picked up in June. If I get a good feeling on the new build, I might just release the Platinum. If anyone is interested in seeing ACTUAL pictures of the vehicle that changed my mind, it’s at https://www.piersonford.com/new/Ford/2023-Ford-F-250SD-aberdeen-sd-63924cb00a0e0a9436a5be18c648fe96.htm
  14. Ordered my F-250 Platinum on 10/31/2022. My salesman says it’s showing my date for pick up is June. I recently saw a 2023 Lariat Ultimate with sport appearance package. It looks sick. Am I making a mistake if I change my order? I’m not in a huge hurry but I don’t want to get pushed back into 2024 either.
