Listen, I hope Ford is telling the truth on these 2024 builds coming in October. But what has changed? Not much from what I see. I saw the writing on the wall when my 450 didn't get built for almost 10 months and ordered a Chevy on July 15. It is built and ready to pick up if I want it. My Ford rep keeps telling me about computer chips. I have to believe gm has just as many chips as Ford has. I'm curious to see the sales numbers this year. GM sold a boat load of trucks this year

I'll try to look at bright side. All 3 trucks I have ordered, 2023 Ford which is a pipe dream, 2024 Chevy and 2024 GMC, are locked in price wise. My 2021 Ford platinum should go up even further in value. Absolutely crazy times

I don't really watch the temp. My trips are all short deliveries of up to 25000 lbs so heat doesn't build. Few hills here but no mountains.

I had 2 f350s before the 450 and didn't notice any difference in the brakes. Every trailer I have has good brakes. I use engine brake on the truck and make sure trailer brakes are working and turned up. The truck is actually the last resort on the braking

Cameras are much more clear. My 2021 f450 is very hard to see when backing up. If the sun is out, it's next to impossible. The Chevy cameras are very clear. New Fords have a bigger screen in the 2023 but still have tons of buttons. Most of GM are integrated in the touch screen. From what I understand, the 2023 Ford cameras are still the same. GM has the massage seat. Ford took them out of platinum-after I ordered. I will also miss the 48 gallon tank - only 36 on GM.

I had Chevy before the last 4 Ford's I purchased. Turning radius will be only thing I miss. Tech on Chevy is better than Ford. Ride is somewhat better. I was used to Ford - cameras, tech, how trailers handled, etc. I can get used to Chevy also. People always talk about the brakes. That's why I use my trailer brakes - the trailer is used more for stopping a load than the truck

The f450 I ordered in October looks like it will not be built. I ordered a 3500 high country dually in late June. That will be built aroundthe end of August. Ford dealer has been no help at all. Chevy dealer has kept in contact unlike the Ford dealer. Wth is wrong with Ford not being able to produce trucks? Seems like Chevy has same amount of chips in their trucks so that's no excuse.

I'm not so brand loyal I can't see what's going on right in front of me. Got another apology letter from Ford this morning on how bad they feel about not being able to make my truck. Why do people think 2024 will be any different than the last 2 years? What has changed inside Ford to suddenly be able to produce trucks? Time for me to jump ship

So my 2023 still isn't scheduled. I have a Chevy and a GMC on order because Ford can't make trucks. Also been watching news and looks like a strike is on the way. Automakers want concessions and uaw wants 40% increase. Looks like nothing may be built for a period of time starting Sept 14.

I had Chevy till 2008 when Obama took over and I couldn't find one. I always liked mine. That's when I switched to Ford. Now the roles are reversed. Seems like GM is able to make trucks where Ford is going in a different direction. I think the GM will be fine. Now quite as heavy but more refined. Time will tell

Agree. Why do people think ordering a 2024 will be any different than a 2023? Ford is going a different direction than hd trucks. I'm going with a different company. At least they are building trucks-at the moment

My dealer hasn't even contacted me about the 2023 platinum 450 i ordered last October. The only time I get any info is when I contact them. I'm still waiting but in the meantime, I have a Chevy and GMC ordered. Not trusting Ford one bit - and why should I?
