There are many people that use tobacco when their doctor has told them that they need to quit but they refuse. There are many people with sugar, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc......their doctors have told them that they need to change their lifestyles......they refuse. Why should doctors be penalized for their patients refusal to care for themselves?

Took the buyout in February and have done just what I wanted up to this point.....mostly sit on my ass although I did get a little work done to my house. Monday morning I start a new job with the railroad. It's a job that I think I'll enjoy and something that I'm interested in learning more about. I hired with Ford in 1994. My dad retired with 30 years in 1995. I can only remember him owning two cars that weren't Ford products and one of those was given to him. My Ford vehicles: 1980 Pinto (first car, purchased used.....sold it) 1973 Pinto (used.....sold) 1992 Ranger (new.....traded) 1995 Mustang GT (new.....traded) 1996 F-150 (new.....traded) 1997 Ranger (new.....traded) 1999 Ranger (new......planned to drive this one 'til the wheels fell off but I killed it early.....140k+ hard miles.........wrecked/totaled) 2004 Grand Marquis (used....current driver)

Hopefully you never need surgery but if you do......tell the doctor to just stay home.....let the nurses take care of everything. I suppose it's comments like that one that would make Hillary say what she said.

That's just one step closer to socialism. You can have that if you want but I'd much rather make my own choices in life. As far as I'm concerned, the government meddles too much in people lives as it is.

I don't understand why people would be against national health care.....everything is ALWAYS better when the government gets involved.

You know how when you pass a bad accident, you don't really want to look but you feel that you have to.....? Well, since you said NOT to select "no longer employed", I had to see what it would do and guess what, it hung up on me. I had to call back and go through all the prompts again. I've lived in the area my whole life.....if I were buying in this area it would be anywhere except Lorain and Sheffield Lake. Lorain is on a down swing.....losing (lost) most of the good, base jobs and Sheffield Lake has never had any. Be aware of the all the different "Sheffields" and "Avons" too. There's Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield, Sheffield Lake and Sheffield Township. Avon Lake and Amherst are probably your best bets for schools (west of the Cleveland suburbs) and, as far as I know, two of the nicest city type communities to live in in the area. Most of the stuff between Avon Lake and Cleveland are nice too.....Bay Village, Rocky River, Lakewood, Westlake, Fairview Park, etc. Sheffield Village is OK but the schools aren't the greatest (Sheffield-Sheffield Lake school system). Just like anywhere else, there are good and bad to all cities. I too would recommend getting to know the area before buying.

I was out of town for a few days. Got home yesterday and there was a message on my answering machine from Wednesday from the plant. They said that my check was there. One week to the day from my last day. They musta been signing it when I walked out the door.

Well said. We will continue to face these problems until people decide that buying American made products serves our economy better. Look around your house. See how many of the products that you buy are foreign made. We have demanded less expensive products.....we want more for less. Now we have it.
