Hello all! I wanted to pop on here and see if anyone has experienced what I’m experiencing now with my 2019 Fusion 1.5 ecoboost. I noticed a faint rattling noise under the hood a couple of weeks ago when I remote started the car. I should mention though, I’ve never heard the sound until after I took it to my local Ford dealership to get an oil change. Anyways, the first time I heard it, I had no choice but to drive it home after work. But by the time I got home I didn’t hear the noise anymore. Then a couple of days later after I had been driving for a while (warm engine) I noticed the sound again. It’s not a very obvious “SOMETHING’S WRONG” sound but I noticed it and got concerned. I took it to the dealership and they’re saying I need a new turbocharger. But I watched tons of videos of what bad turbos sound like on ecoboost engines and mine doesn’t sound as bad as those in the videos I’ve seen. Again, mine is a faint loose/rattling/valvetrain sound, not so much a loud metallic rattle. Unless they’re in fact correct, and I just caught it early? Thanks in advance for your help/expertise!

Is anyone able to help me with this? I ordered an F350 the first few days of July and last month my salesperson gave me a VIN. The order tracking website has shown the truck as in production since 9/3 and shows the expected delivery is tomorrow. The dealership hasn't been able to give me an answer and I'm not one to go to a manager unless needed. I ordered my last truck from the same dealership and they ordered it with the wrong options and gave me no updates. I ended up settling for them bringing in a truck from another dealership with different options because I couldn't wait any longer. I'm concerned about this happening again. Thank you for any help. The VIN is 1FT8W3BT4LEE40644

Just out of curiosity, once a vehicle that was ordered by a customer rolls off the delivery truck at the dealership, what happens next? That is, what kinds of tasks/services would the dealer's staff perform after it arrives to get it ready for the customer? I realize, of course, that someone will contact the customer to let him or her know the car has arrived and to make arrangements for pickup and finalize the paperwork and take care of the $$ issues--that part I've been through. At the moment, I'm curious to learn what steps/tasks the dealer staff does to or with the car itself prior to the customer taking delivery? And, typically how long does such a thing take? Also, would the process be notably different if the vehicle was just going into dealer stock, as opposed to having been ordered by a customer? The last time I special ordered a car (actually, the only time I had done so until this month), in spring 2013, my recollection is I was notified by the dealer in mid-morning that my car had arrived on one day and I made arrangements to go there and pick it up the afternoon of the following day. This time, I placed my order with a different Lincoln dealership in a different city, although I don't know if that would make any difference. I'm curious to learn what tasks and steps take place at the dealer once the vehicle rolls off the truck to get it ready to hand over to the customer who ordered it. Thanks in advance.

If I place a factory order does a dealer have to have allocation for the order to be processed timely? Or does it only matter when the order is placed. I do not want to place an order only to have later orders jump ahead of mine because the dealer does not have allocation. I plan on ordering a 2013 Flex tomorrow. hopefully this is a non-issue and I can just focus on price. Thanks, Mark
