Is KBB accurate for Mustang values?

My Wife has a Silver 2000 Mustang GT Auto w/ 61,500 miles. It has black leather and Mach 460 sound as well as Magnaflo Exhaust and 1999 Cobra rims. We were recently offered $5,700 for trade, about $1,000 below what we expected based on KBB. I think the car is worth between $8,000 and $9,000 if I sold the car myself. Again, this is based on Kelley Blue Book.

Granted, you can't see the condition of the car, but is this a reasonable ballpark for this car in fair to good condition?

I think you're right. If you sold it yourself you would get more.

Dealers wont give you anything near what its worth.

KBB, NADA and Edmunds.com are not necessary good when it comes to pricing Mustangs.

Thanks, I think the other problem I am having is that a Mustang is a hard sell this sime of year in Portland. Not that it will be any better when gas is $3 per gallon.
