paymaster
I love my 96 Ranger. It has a 7 foot bed and no Air, roll down the windows, need a key to open doors no remote, 60/40 bench and am/fm radio. It has done the work I have asked it and more. The only major repair in 160,000 miles were the front brakes and a new battery. It is driven mostly on the freeway. My problem is when it is started the seat belt chime continues forever. I always buckle my seatbelt before starting the truck, and this ringing is starting to drive me crazy. I need help. I would have bought a new Ranger but the dealer will not let me have it my way. I work at a Ford assembly plant on the line for 12 years and know that what I asked for is not out of the realm. Anyway, any help on my problem is greatly appreciated. I will just keep what I have for another 160,000 miles.
JW
On my 94, I disconnected the little wiring harness that sticks out of the bottom of the buckle assembly along side the seat. No more chime or warning light.
