real_texan
I recently took my 2007 exp. into the dealer again for the wind noise coming from the front windows. I had asked if they performed the tsb on the door window run. They stated its coming from the mirrows instead and there is a new tsb for it. I was wondering does anyone have a copy of the new tsb for the mirrows. Edited September 6, 2007 by real_texan
Buzzforbrains
I recently took my 2007 exp. into the dealer again for the wind noise coming from the front windows. I had asked if they performed the tsb on the door window run. They stated its coming from the mirrows instead and there is a new tsb for it. I was wondering does anyone have a copy of the new tsb for the mirrows. While talking to the shop foreman about my brakes I asked him about the wind noise. He said they know it's a big problem. It occurs on the Explorers as well. Something to do with how the plastic mates to the metal. As of last week he did not know of a TSB, but he didn't look it up either. Anymore info would be great. kenttrudiw
Thanks! We are still having wind noise of the drivers side even after the dealer did the first TSB for the window trim stuff. This sounds like I can tape up the outside mirrow to test, before I waste a trip to the dealer. Can anybody suggest exactly what Ford means by trailing edge of the mirror sail?? And what kind of tape to use?
