drtkrw
Is there anything I need to know regarding a Job #1 08 F450 that was built in May? The dealer has one that I can purchase (with all of the options I want) but I am concerned that is was built too early and will have recall issues. Like the exhaust and other stuff I hear. Should I purchase a later built truck or is it not such a big deal? Please help. Thanks.
Hydro
You should have no worries. There was only one reflash during that period (flame thrower) and nothing that sticks out. All bad injectors have been accounted for and if your truck has a stumble or irradic idle there are reflashes for that also. I have a May job 1 truck and has been bullet proof. I drive the living snot out of it, it's either floored or stopping :happy feet:
Markford14
Like said the recall of the flames was corrected by then. The recalls you would have after that would be better developments. Not really recalls but updates. As for the 6.0 there has been numerous but you dont always need to have them done only if your truck has problem. CPBroncoBoy
Be aware that there has been a batch of bad radiators, if you see coolant leaking take it in. Some people at thedieselstop.com have had teh radiators blow out on them when towing. Other than that all is good.
