Kris Kolman
Typical Lotus... Reinventing what and SUV should be. 300hp, 7 row seating, under 3,500 lbs in weight, and over 30mpg. Lotus says its an engineering concept and not a direction they want to pursue... Jaguar should be in contact with Lotus yesterday on how to bring this under there umbrela. Anthony
Pretty cool looking, but that rear hatch is about as useless for putting items in the rear as canoe in the middle of the desert.

Kris Kolman
It has some design problems in the rear.... In particular aft of the b-pillar with the slopping roof and fussy character lines. For note: It has a standard hatch opening, the v-line is a character line. But the front looks very good... What amazing is the engineering excellence... Think about it: Its 1200+lbs lighter than the Porsche Cayenne Its 1100+lbs lighter than the BMW X5 and Mercedes M-Class Its 800+lbs lighter than the Infiniti FX Its 600+lbs lighter than the Caddy SRX Its 500+lbs lighter than the Lexus RX I’ve never been a fan of Jaguar getting into the SUV game… But if it’s like this than I say go for it. It’s built utilizing the same technique as the all aluminium Jaguar XJ/XK and the new Aston Martins… So PAG has the manufacturing capability. The question is do they have the will to work with Lotus and put the Germans to task for beign overweight and ponderous. Of course costs is going to be an concern: The XJ V8 powered base MSRP is ~$60k which is ~$7k more than the X5.
