piper87C
I am hoping for some good information. Last year my 2004 escape was rear ended. It bent down the rear frame rails as the mechanic told me it was designed to do. I had to have a new tailgate and trailer hitch installed during the repair. I have driven probably close to 10,000 miles since with no problems what so ever. The vehicle drives fine, the tire wear is even no problems. No problems except that since the day of the accident when I accelerate it makes a terrible noise. Not every time but 80% of the time and it is worse when loaded. I think it is the exhause pipe rubbing somewhere, but I have had it on a lift and could not see anything. I know it is a long shot but I thought someone here might know what it is Thanks Jeff
