fordcane
I need to install an aftermarket rear window defroster. It has it's own 15 amp fuse. I am looking for a point (preferably under the dash) where I can connect to 12V that is unfused since if I connect it to a fused point the draw combined with whatever is already in the circuit will blow the fuse. If there is an option it would be great if the point was switched off when the ignition is off to prevent an accidental battery drain. Thanks for your help. Walt
I would go to your local auto parts store, and get a "fuse tap". The exact type depends on the type/style of fuses you have (check before going). The "fuse tap" will allow you to tap power off of a feed circuit just before the circuit own, original, fuse. Just pick a circuit that you know gets turned 'on' and 'off' with the ignition key.
