I stopped by my dealer today (7/26) and he looked in the system and it still showed production week of 7/21 and ETA for delivery week of 7/28. Any idea what that revised gate release means? Another poster here ordered an identical car and it was built and gate released on the same day. He got his yesterday, and mine is still in limbo. He lives in KS, and I live close enough to drive to Wayne to pick up the thing! Nobody from Ford to the dealer has been able to give me any info on it and the estimated arrival dates keep slipping. ViperPilot Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Sometimes if there is a problem with a shipper (ie, a trailer has a mechanical problem, etc.) and the car gets sent back to the plant and "re-released" to a new shipper. One more question: my sticker says "convoy," which I understand from reading here actually means rail, yet the other poster's sticker says "rail". What's the difference? Seems kind of odd considering same plant, same car, same options, same blend and build dates, etc. Only difference is destination, but the two different words mean the same thing? Confusing...
