b_derksen
Hello, Just wondering if anyone has installed front tow hooks on a 2006 Explorer yet? We have a customer that is buying an '06 Explorer Limited and wants to tow it "4 wheel down" behind his motorhome and needs the tow hooks to hook onto it. Until '05 they could be installed. Any suggestions on an '06? I see there is a "recovery hook" available, but that is just one and is mounted further back on the crossmember. What we are looking for is a way to mount a hook like on an '05. Brian Edited April 3, 2006 by b_derksen
gaskanjim
If you go to the bottom of this page and select tow bars & accessories you find Roadmaster Tow bars. I have a Roadmaster Base Plate installed on my 2006 Explorer Limited and tow mine regularly behind my motor home. I do have 4WD with the neutral tow kit installed by my dealer. b_derksen
I didn't find the link at the bottom of the page that you are talking about, but I went to roadmaster-tow-bars.com. They didn't list brackets for an '06 Explorer so I guess we'll just have to give them a call. Brian
