The_Shadow1963 Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 I've read quite a few posts about the shift issues on the 6-speed tranny, particularly on the 07. I've just ordered an 09 to replace my 01. Does anyone have any feedback, good or bad, on the 09 tranny? I'm assuming it's a carryover component. For the record, I never had a single issue with my 01. djellenz Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 I've got 18,500 of my '09. I have not had any trouble until last week. When cruising in hilly terrain the transmission now has a pause and jerk if it needs to shift down from 6th to 4th gear. If it only needs to shift from 6th to 5th you don't feel a thing. Buzzforbrains Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 Most of the problems were with the firmware on the TCM. This has been updated quite a bit and it has fixed most of the problems.
