peterspca90732
Just wanted to offer feedback on my job #2, 2008 F450 (took delivery on 10-08-07) at 16,000 miles. I LOVE the truck! The guys at Ford did an outstanding job in every respect. I do have one nagging problem and that is the annoying message in the Driver Information Panel when I put the truck in reverse..."Trailer Disconnected". My local dealer could not find a fault, so taking it to an independent auto electric shop. But the truck performs great, particularly when pulling our Teton 5th wheel. Previously I owned a 2003 Chevy 3500 with an aftermarket exhaust brake. The F450 with its tow/haul mode handles engine braking far better than anything I have experienced so far. And, I am getting slightly better mileage after the last flash so all is good. Thanks Ford for making such a quality vehicle! If it is with it on only, the trailer is at fault. Most likely a ground feedback issue.

Most likely a ground feedback issue. I get that message with the trailer unattached as well as attached. I've treated the 5th wheel electrical outlet with Dilectic grease but no difference. There was a Tech Bulletin out but according to my dealer it expired. I know others are experiencing the same problem.
mach14604
I had the trailer disconnect message. Trust me it is in your trailer. I had the same problem. Thought it was the truck. But it only happened with my one trailer. Have the trailer checked.
