CarboyNavigator
We've had our 2001 Lincoln Navigator since late 2000 and it has 100,000 miles on it. We find that the ride isn't as soft as it used to be and because of that, it makes it less pleasant to ride. We've done all of the schuduled maintenances and usual repairs (leaky air suspension) etc. Please respond as we hope to keep this car for a couple more years if it runs as good as new. Have the shocks been replaced? Shocks rarely make it 30K miles, let alone 100K.

Lol the replacment cost is probably more than the car is worth itself during trade in isn't it?

Check out rockauto.com. They have good prices on shocks. You can probably do them yourself.

We rather have the dealer install, but what's the point if it seems better to replace it with a new car lol?

Schpark
Another consideration is less tread on the tires will make the ride harsher. Some brand new Michelin LTX M/S have enough rubber to absord a bunch of the jolts.
