Ford is being pigheaded and trying unsuccesfully to get people to take less to go . This article states GM is ponying up to give people who took less buyout money before . People should just stay and retire in a few more years with NO incentive....smart! If you think Chrysler is in that good of shape, just because they werent allowed to liquidate you are mistaken. And Mulally sure cant wipe that smile off of his face so with all the positive press and + in market share . You sound like you have a case of the no seniorities. If you would do a little research, you'll find out that all the insentives and buy out money is coming from the Pension Fund!!! It's looked at as a lump sum Pension payment.
