  1. Has any skilled trades been told if they have actually gotten the buyout AND a retirement date ? Here at FRAP no one has been told a thing.
  2. Just curious if any trades are being displaced by the shift reduction ????
  3. Yeah sure.....not gonna see a whole lot of this option.
  4. At Sheldon Road there arent any takers so far. Only about 50 eligible trades left.
  5. And this proves the yaysayers have ballwashers too. At least Jeff shows a sense of respect .
  6. Well first read my post. It did say 50-75k units. 75 isnt that far from 85. Anyway Ford wanted 100k for the Flex. Dont look at their #'s. They never came close. Fusion sales at least have a shot at doing better. But remember if Fusion doesnt hit its #'s, it will be AAI thats cut back not Hermosillo(?). And when the Mustang hits that 51st anniv. watch its sales go back where they came from.
  7. And maybe only enough for a one shift plant.
  8. Dude people are ultimately responsible for themselves. There are a lot of people out there that could use someone with your drive. Unfortunately they wont be UAW and likely wont be union. You just need to redirect. Put it to a better use. Take a break....( just not on company time )..LOL.. reload...(oops we cant say that anymore...) come back and take no prisoners..(crap, cant say that either). Anyway you know what I mean. Good Luck & Godspeed.
  9. No I dont consider that. Just because someone responds anything under this post, you conveniently put words in their mouths.
  10. Well have you done the calculation with FMCC figured back in the profit sharing?? I havent ,just curious if u have. And though "technically" Fusion will be going to AAI, dont think that its going to be 100k or 200k units. It will be certain high trim levels. Think expensive. Think more like 50-75k units (if we are lucky) which if Mustang doesnt turn itself around, AAI will be hard pressed to maintain 2 shifts.
  11. I dont agree he is worth 300 million(dont forget all those future stock options) but yes he is a genuis. Though Way Forward and the 23 Billion equity loan were started b-4 he arrived , he did continue to carry it through for Billy Boy. Division and fear go a long way. He had IUAW so fearful that he got them to cut prod pay in half .....about 4 yrs b-4 they hired any. Amazing......no.......Genius.
  12. Oh well It wouldnt have been the 1st time. Jerry Carson and his girlfriend Allsion Hugg runs this place as they see fit. I wouldnt be surprised if Jerry get a job on Honsingers lap once SRP gets closed.
  13. First find a post of mine that you havent doctored that said anything about COLA. It aint there......And seeing as your not a mechanical trade, I understand where your bias lies. It doesnt matter if trades went to 2nd tier.....Ford will still be reducing us. And its not like there isnt any work. There is but regardless what any letters in the contract says, work still is going out and it will continue with this new contract. Bob King made it clear one or two contracts ago the direction he was going to let trades go and that is south. GM has more direct language about mechanisms for placing, reskilling, etc etc trades than anything in ours. Anyway, no one likes the monies we gave up but I havent said anything about insisting on getting COLA back.
  14. Look asswipe. I work at SRP. It doesnt have anything close to 900 employees. And there are still 3 shifts, though not in many depts. You are seeing about 300 imaginary people. And we didnt have a trailer this yr. And voting was in classroom B off of the main aisle. 5 different ballots. NO shit.......
  15. This is from a guy that has his, so he's..... "good where he's at". Crying when Monroe closed on him....cried that Ford/UAW were leaving trades in the wind/on the street.....mercenaried at Neapco on a double dip...cried til he got into Rouge and now with his " 45 hrs on avg per week on a 4 on 4 off schedule" , he's got his. I see true colors now. Same back at you sparky in response to your reply,if any.
  16. All this is pipe dreams. Ford would be a Chrysler if they truly tried to break the UAW. And Ford and IUAW know this. First Ya's will likely win this vote, but even if the NAy's do....there wont be any strike.Period. Ford as a company would be toast. IUAW wont allow a strike. Strikebreakers would be the worst thing for the situation. IF there would be a companywide strike....the market share loss would be more than short term. The sides will hit the tables, shuffle the money and vote again. By the way 1/2 market is not in transplants hands......unless you are adding in all the cars that are still imported from overseas, which is not the same.
  17. I actually can live with the lump sum payments this time around. But I will not vote to put 10% of Ford profit sharing into a VEBA that helps prop up GM and Chryslers retiree healthcare. Imagine the ramifications if say Chrysler takes a dive and their VEBA bites the dust first......So Ford workers are going to be expected to bail it out ??? Remember the VEBAs were 3 separate entities, not anymore. I also wont vote to eliminate trades jobs which this contract will ultimately do. Those are my sticking points. Also was told the new hierarchy places the ACHers ahead of Ford Temp and LTS for new 2nd tier hiring. No wonder Chicago voted the way they did with all the LTS there.
  18. Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!! Was I ever off. LOL. By the way a rep at SRP just told me that our 10% of profit sharing is actually going to help GM/Chryslers VEBA......WTH !! I t hought they were separate entities. He said Fords' VEBA is doing OK. He also said that with the 450+/- trades laid off/in productiuon, they will be joined by 466 that will be gone when Sandusky,Saline,SRP and Indy meet their fate , as soon as within this next year. So over 900 trades off their tools(me one off them) and 10% of Ford profit sharing to prop GM/Chrys. VEBA seals my no vote. This may pass but I wont vote to cut my own job nor fund GM's VEBA.......
  19. On a side note...Isnt Ford aoverdue to announce 3rd Q profits ???????
  20. Then dont start any rumors. We know how easily CAP rolls over.
  21. No shit Sherlock. All in CPI includes food & energy. GOVT/Markets often use CPI with these taken out.
  22. Someone posted that it would be $2.12 /hr if we had never lost it and it wasnt rolled into our hrly wage . I'm not sure I agree but according to the BLS, inflations has risen around 10.7--11.3 % from 2007 thru August of 2011. This is for unadjusted(which most bargaining contracts go by), all Urban workers, all items included.
  23. Are u guys fooled that easy. This is NOT Gary......
  24. Where did this guy come from....go crawl back under the rock hence you came.....what a card....are you actually an adult ???????
