suv_guy_19
Transit Connect is a tangible success of our strategy to harness the best of our global products and offer new choices and solutions to customers in other parts of the world," said Mark Fields, Ford's president of The Americas. With 40% market share, Ford is the reigning commercial truck leader in the United States, and we're looking for Transit Connect to further grow our leadership." Built on a dedicated front-wheel drive commercial vehicle platform since 2003, Transit Connect was upgraded with a Duratec 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and four-speed automatic transmission to meet the needs of small businesses in North America. Several design details, including the grille and interior touches, have been updated to lend the vehicle a fresh, new look. Despite having roughly the same footprint as a Mazda5, Transit Connect boasts a cargo volume of 2,212 litres behind its rear seats (more than three times that of a Chevrolet HHR or Honda Element). And the split cargo doors (which open to 180 degrees) unveil an opening nearly five feet tall, so carrying those saplings home from the garden centre will be an easy chore. And a payload of 725 kg puts it on a par with a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. 2010 Transit Connect by Joe Duarte Transit Connects are really becoming a common sight here. Ford Jellymoulds
Transit Connects are really becoming a common sight here. Do you have the diesel version in Canada just interested? Thats all Ford sell in the UK now, we use to have a gasoline version but it died a death nobody brought due to poor MPG, and the much better torque from the small diesel engine made it a much better a load lugger. SkapeGote
Sup, I have been in Canada awhile now and have noticed that, like the USA, diesels are considered to be for pickup trucks and large delivery vans. Few small vehicles, outside of VW's, get a diesel engine. The polution controls here are very strict. Skape
suv_guy_19
Diesel still hasn't caught on here (I really don't like it). Small vehicles however are quite popular (as the other article I posted says, 1 in 2 vehicles are compact or subcompact.
