stephenhawkings
I agree, but why limit yourself to linear thinking when your labeling people? if you go far enough right you get left and vicaversa
number1fomoco
I agree, but why limit yourself to linear thinking when your labeling people?if you go far enough right you get left and vicaversa Don't blame all of this on the republicans- "Obama didn't promise defense cuts. On the contrary, he called for additional forces for the Army and Marines. He insisted that the American military needs to remain the strongest and best-equipped in the world. In his inaugural address, President Obama reminded Americans that the nation is still at war. That being so, this is not the time to start weakening the armed forces." What did Obama do...? Obama CUT 10% OF THE DEFENSE SPENDING.. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...9020202618.html

THESE TEABAG RIGHT WING UNION HATERS ARE UNBELIVEABLE... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/31/d...n_n_408229.html When the bill was in the house, 139 Republicans votes for the bill, 37 against. Once it was combined with the Senate version, 63 Republicans still voted for it, 108 against. It passed without issue, 307-114, with 11 no votes (5 dems, 6 rep). HR 2892 Before blaming someone for voting against a bill, maybe we should try and figure out what alternative they prefered. Do you think they want no Homeland Security? Was the a better option for a more effective secuirty provision? I know, it is more fun to find a Huffington Post story and write in all caps. Keep up the good work. Marginal Economist
On a side note, Janet "The System Worked" Napolitano voted against the 2006 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill in 2005.
stephenhawkings
another note: the army, navy, air force, and marines did not, nor where they able to stop the Xmas underwear bomber guy, or the 911 people. So just how much bang for our buck are we getting on those defense dollars that the republicans or democrats vote against(depending who is president)? Thats a pretty ignorant statement since none of those mentioned have anything to do with airport security.

Obama CUT 10% OF THE DEFENSE SPENDING.. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...9020202618.html You mean defense waste. Spending on something that is not being used is called a waste. Like the fighter jets that were not being used but we were spending billions to produce. These were much needed cuts and your boy Johnnie McLame even thought that was a good idea to cut this wasteful spending. So when you listen to Hannity and he cries about Obama cutting defense this is what he is referring too. WASTEFUL SPENDING.. Do your own homework my son... I like the way you think!! You just went to the front of the class!! What was once a government for the people, is now working against the people. We are being undermined by the representatives that took an oath to uphold the constitution, and therefore look out for our best interests. Lets pull back the curtain, whose the wizard pulling the handles today?
