uawxlt
you should look at cost of living first.......................then decide if its worth it... the COL is outrages in chicago
FiredMotorCompany
the COL is outrages in chicago I agree. Don't go unless job security is the MOST important issue. Schools, Cost of Living, neighborhoods, traffic, taxes, political environment, the welcoming you will get from the others at CAP, the union leadership, ..... From what I have been told and what I know, OHAP is better. But, only you can decide. Wishing you the best when you make a decision.

I would say Chicago and the 'burbs are crazy expensive though...true that! any word on stamping plant jobs?
taurus10
not yet,but i'm sure they will once the 2nd shift starts back up.. I don't think they will have that many after the start of a second shift. There are too many ILO's and shift cuts at other plants(AAI, LAP, etc) to think that there will be a significant # of 2nd tier employees, most will be filled with seniority transfers.
