A letter passed on from Gary Walkowicz

Here's a gentle reminder to Detroit 3 CEOs Dan Akerson, Alan Mulally and Sergio Marchionne:

You're in a negotiating year with the UAW.

The huge salaried bonuses you've OK'd -- which dwarf those of hourly autoworkers -- are not playing well on the assembly line.

Chrysler Group confirms that its average 2010 bonus for a salaried worker will be $10,000 -- or more than 13 times the $750 each hourly worker will receive.

Gary Walkowicz, a UAW bargaining committeeman representing workers at the Ford Rouge plant in Dearborn, Mich., said the outsized salaried bonuses show that the automaker has the money and apparent willingness to cut select workers a bigger share of the company's success.

He said he and many of his co-workers want a real raise as part of a new labor contract to be negotiated in September, not just a bonus like the ones hourly workers received this year.

Raises, after all, have the advantage of accruing and compounding over time.

“This is just one more reason to push harder to get back the concessions we've given up,” said Walkowicz, who ran a protest campaign against Bob King at last year's UAW convention for the union's presidency.

Those concessions by the Detroit 3's 120,000 UAW-represented workers have totaled $7,000 to $30,000 per worker since 2005, by King's own account.

King wants to claw back some of those sacrifices when he goes to negotiate new labor agreements with Detroit automakers this year. The current four-year contracts expire in September.

These new salaried bonuses will make those master talks just that much more interesting.

The people at Ford that are responsible for the high quality cars and trucks we now build need to be given a nice bonus

Executives R&D Engineers and the Hourly people that build them we have done a great job

Now lets get to Floor level Management :hysterical:

Team Leaders run the lines while these floor level supervisors run around trying to justify there job by cutting hourly

Its Sad you have 8 or 9 from management/egineeres trying to figure out how make 1 operater take on more work than can be done in 57 seconds

They want us to work on ramps work on more than one job at a time when the mix overloades the job :hysterical:

This kinda shit is the old Ford way and comprimises quality

Thanks to the operators that care about quality and will not ship it they stop the line if needed and do the job right the first time

Line workers pat yourself on the back you will never be given the reward/credit you deserve for Fords success

Thank You

:happy feet:

Well if I remember correctly we have Alan M on video stating that all people involved in the process will receive the same profit sharing. Remember he said this on Mad Money a couple weeks ago when they were filming it in Dearborn? Everyone should be getting an equal piece of the pie. The thing I don't agree with is dealerships and the owners getting profit sharing when they are making profits on car sales. Why should dealerships be getting a piece of or profit sharing?? I have no idea. That is considered an end seller, ford sets a percentage profit for them on each vehicle and they get that and even more sometimes when a vehicle is sold. So how come they are to get (as Alan M says) a piece of our profit? He also stated that vendors will be getting a piece of our profit. If you watch the video you'll hear him say this. Why should vendors be getting our profits? They already make a profit when they sell us a part.. The only people that should be getting a piece of our pie, is the company, the auto worker and the investors (share holders)...

We better be getting at least 10k for profit, else I'm going to fucking explode..

Is there an election coming up soon?

:hysterical: time to clean UAW,s house in may 2011

From top to bottom, and everyone in between. Many do nothing in that plant. Other than tell you how the supervision can "do that to you Brother"

Supervision driveing shuttles on OT, Call UAW, and nothinhg happens..Same supervisor drives all day long.....OT Equalization is so screwed up in some areas that we have HUNDREDS of hours in spread for ONE shift, after only 4 months??? This is way beyond ridiculous.

UAW at DTP may as well be NON-EXSITANT...Heck, they don't do anything anyway

Chucky, I know you've been banned plenty and haven't been able to post here, but your ignorance is showing again. Get ready to explode because the average profit sharing check is $5K. Have you been living under a rock while you were banned?
