fordfan4ever
On my second day of driving the dash panel/screen between the tach & speedometer where it reads out the temp. gauge for example, started going off & on in 10-15 second intervals. When it's on it does not respond to any arrow clicks. For some odd reason I found I can get it to stay on by opening the drivers door until the door ajar warning comes on in that screen & then shutting the door, I have to do this from 2-6 times in a row to get it to remain on though. Once it remains on I can do all the normal readouts in any modes, once I stop & shut off the key though it all starts over again. Don't know if it has anything to do with it or not, but it started doing this after my dealer entered my personal code in the key pad for the door unlock system. This is an XLT 4WD, no MFT no Sync. Thanks for any help. Edited February 23, 2011 by fordfan4ever

fordfan4ever
it seems to correct enough to be use able if you restart the engine, the fix is to replace the LCD panel, parts available next quarter, I guess it's the waiting game again.
