PFA
Other than the Rawsonville plant? Just wondering if you are being told that you must become state licensed? Probably so from what I heard. If so, are you being given a company paid day off to take the test?
Atlas
Saline electricians are not paid for taking the test and must use a personnal day but the test is paid for...the first time. Anyone that fails must pay on their own to retake the test. Most of our guys have passed on the first round. Speculation is that at some point in time those who do not have a state license will be excluded from certain jobs on overtime including the possablility that will be bypassed when overtime is available. PFA
At Rawsonville, we are not being paid for the day off. They are paying for the test as mentioned above, but not the day off. We saw a guy from Wayne assem. there and he was lead to believe that he would be paid the day off. That is where my question is stemming from. Not only the day off but a 12 hour day and shift prem. It's not like you back out at the last minute and say you want to take a different time.
