Evilcartman Posted April 29, 2011 Share Posted April 29, 2011 FIrst off, my MKX is about to be 4 years old. Never had anything wrong with it and I love the car. April 1st I was rearended at a stop sign. I got the bumper fixed and everything seemed good. Three times since when I start the car the fuel gauge shows empty and the low fuel warning is on the message center. The first two times, I just restarted the engine and the gauge returned to normal. Today, I restarted 5 times and nothing changed. I drove 5 miles home with half a tank registering empty. I get home, turn off the engine, turned the key back to run without starting it and the gauge went back up to half tank. Now it sounds accident related, but I found a TSB on the float sticking.
