watching1
Why is the u.a.w leadership letting the company keep 130 temps.at the Lima plant. When there are ford workers laid-off at other plants, that want to go to Lima. Why would the company want to pay sub when these people want to go to work?

Why would the company want to pay sub when these people want to go to work? maybe cause 6 months ago a posting went up and not enough people signed, recall that ? people all over were allowed to sign, it is there fault for not doing so. Maybe the company should give people more than a week to decide if they want to sign up for such a life change?
Neuromancer
Maybe the company should give people more than a week to decide if they want to sign up for such a life change? Good point, but people at closing plants should have been thinking about this decisions for years instead of holding on to their old plant until the bitter end. I agree with you that the jobs were posted, and they did not get enough people to go,but there were not any ford workers laid- off at the time of the postings. Why keep paying sub to the laid-off people when there are jobs available. Also you give false hopes to the temps.in the plants thinking that they are going to be hired. Not one temp.can be made full-time as long as their are any ford workers laid-off. madbird
Hasn't there been other Ford plant postings? Is the Lima plant the only one that has temps working?
