transitman
I have a 2.0L EcoBoost 2013 Escape on order and have been wondering about mpg's. Ford hasn't posted EPA numbers yet, so I have been trying to guess based Edge numbers. If I recall, the Escape is about 700 pounds lighter than the Edge with a greater emphasis on aerodynamics, so I'm thinking there will be a 2 to 3 mpg increase over the 2.0L EcoBoost Edge. I have read e350 coupe's posts and I'm wondering what kind of real world mpg's other folks are getting. What is the difference when temps drop and are you using 87, 89 or 90 octane fuel. Edgy Girl
On Edge window stickers with Edge Ecoboost engines, the fuel economy (this is canada) is 9.9L/100kms city and 6.6 highway. I imagine, the Escape would be better. Didn't order the Escape because the interior was a mess in my opinion. Was going to order a new 2013 Fusion due to fuel economy, but once I saw Edge ecoboost numbers, it was good enough for me. My 07 AWD edge averages close to 13L /100kms.. mostly because I drive in rush hour. So I ordered SEL FWD with ecoboost...
flashfearless
If you look at the 2014 Edge tech specs, Ford says that it got 30 MPG on 93 octane. They recommend that you run 91+.
