I ordered mine... I wanted the SEL appearance pkg, and got every option but the lighted inside door edge tagging.. LOL So.. 10 weeks... Ordered end of May 2012.. took delivery early August... My brother works at Ford Oakville.. so I get the bonus of getting it at employee pricing...

Congrats!! Im sure you will love it. Really love this Edge. Hopefully not too long a wait for you. Try to get the VIN or order number so you can get is tracked here in the forum!

My Ecoboost Edge - 10.5l l/100km or 22.4 mpg mostly stop and go rush hour traffic My Edge also has the massive panoramic roof adding to its weight - its about .5 litre over the stated window sticker numbers No complaints here

I have MFT - its not hard; perhaps its not intuitive - but it is easy to learn. 4 months in.. I love it. Wouldn't change a thing.

So as the cold weather rolls in.... remote start is awesome!! One morning this week was cold enough to trigger the auto rear and front defrost and the bum warmers. Nice!!!! Fuel economy still on target.. over 3500kms in. Loving power trunk too!

A little over 2500kms in... and the things are good. Fuel economy is excellent... and power is awesome with Ecoboost. MFT can be a little glitchy, but for the most part, it works fine. On a side note, saw the new Fusion for the first time. It was Ruby Red.. it was nice...but I wasn't overly impressed by its looks in person. The interior was styled very much like my Edge so..it looked good. So glad, I got my Edge... !!

I wonder if they count "returns" My co worker bought a Fiat and returned it 2 weeks later. She gave up a Charger to get it, and then got a new better gas Charger instead of the Fiat. Fiat is trendy - new to the market... so it attract a lot of attention. This too shall pass.

So.. its because a tow package is not available on EB Edge... As opposed to not being able to tow? That's different - perhaps the new Edge slotted for sometime in 2014/15 will something?

I have the new Ecoboost Edge - and fuel economy of the Escape Ecoboost - is only marginally better. I added the vista roof on, and so far I meeting the stated mpg and I drove mostly city and in rush hour. You may find the Escape interior less roomy than the Edge.

Actually, the sound is pretty good. I had the upgraded stereo in my old Edge and I knew I gave up getting the Sony with the SEL. I mostly listen to sirius, so I didnt see the point of having an upgraded sound system for that. Its nice to have a subwoofer etc, but I dont have any complaints about the standard sound system. I liked the SEL appearance pkg far more than the Limited, and I didn't need the bigger engine in the Sport. Ecoboost is awesome, love the power with fuel economy. I have the driver's entry package - awesome add on if you can get it.

I do know who this forum is for.. I refrained for a couple of days to mind my business.. But I felt the general was rude to trimoac - and I felt someone needed to push back a little... so I did.. I usually keep my trolling to the general discussion forums, but with CAW talks.. I wanted to see what employees were thinking.. I will go back to minding my own business...

Luckily - I am well employed in the financial sector. Just so you know... I spend a lot time defending auto workers amongst some of the conservative financial types that I work with. You guys/gals do work hard, and I don't think I could do it for more than hour. I believe we need good paying jobs like the auto sector to sustain the middle class and its consumerism. The world global economic market has changed manufacturing across the world. The playing field is being levelled. I have seen family business gets wiped out because of competition from chinese manufacturing. I am more for you than against you. I just didn't like the WAY you responded to other posts. You are most certainly entitled to your opinion and expressing it. There is no need to be demeaning or patronizing. I do my part in supporting auto workers - all of my previous cars were north amercian made and 3 of the 4 made in Ontario. I just purchased my second Edge and in the last 2 years - 4 Edges have been bought in the family. So let's just agree to disagree and move on.

Ahhh, you are right, this is just a message board... and you should relax... I have found your responses to be of the "smart ass variety" on several occasions, I actually think you were rude to trimoac.... I have been reading the posts as i have immediate family who work at OAC... As for donuts,,, I much prefer the Tim Horton's canadian variety

I finally figured on the Sirius preset process. Just had to get the right series of screens, and I can reset them... YA... I have been driving with a light foot and keepings RPMs to under 2000 - keeps bringing the city fuel economy down, just .5 litre over the stated now.. Breaking 1000kms on the odometer, time to start pushing engine a little more... Acceleration and power have been excellent!!

Love my Edge - had an 2007 AWD with no tech issues....only thing I started to dislike was the fuel economy as gas prices rose.

Actually - so far so good... Only 1 pet peeve so far - resetting the sirius presets - I still can't figure that out, The radio regular preset process is fine and works.... but the Sirius ones - ?? Just haven't had time to call Sirius for tech help. It can be glitchy once in a while -but nothing serious - kinda like your home computer.... I think dealing with MFT is all about your perspective... and you can't say I was not warned.. LOL

My first thought - when was the car on the lot shipped and received by dealer during a particular promotional time, so the window sticker reflects the rebate available at delivery to dealer. It could be that this dealer in certain geographical area got additional incentives and the Ford site is national? The Ford site would only reflect the current offer available. FYI - Costco discount is available again in Canada... I guess they changed their mind about discontinuing....

I just love the ruby red colour.... in the sun it is something else. I debated the Taurus as well - tough to choose, but a much larger car than I need... but then again, I found the new Escape too tight. I loved my old edge, but the new Edge is wonderfully improved even with all the possible quirks that could happen. Enjoy the rides!
