Gixer444
If I'm not mistaken, your car should already have cold air intake. looking for a opinion,by adding a cold air intake will this affect the sound of exhaust? 12 - GT convert.6 speed
NickF1011
If I'm not mistaken, your car should already have cold air intake. Yes, it does. A very convoluted, constricted one. Often times a cold air intake will slightly increase the amount of engine noise that is noticable in the cabin, but that's about it.
PTRocks
....but you can never go wrong adding a cold air intake. Other than automatically voiding your engine warranty, that is. As per one of the recent TSB's. You have some chance of not voiding your warranty if you install a 'no-tune' intake. Trouble is that most of the gain comes from the tune and not from the intake. Blowe
what is realistic gain in Rear Wheel HP with an aftermarket cold air kit - both the "no tune" and one that requires a re-flash/tune. As per comment re tune giving the most difference I presume there is a fairly wide difference between the 2 types?

As per comment re tune giving the most difference I presume there is a fairly wide difference between the 2 types? Typically, the most you're going to see without a tune is 5-10 HP. Perhaps 20 on the generous end with a tune, but more of that is probably from the tune itself and not the intake.
