MTnickmck Posted November 22, 2011 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Hi there, I'm a ford enthusiast and have lived to own them and will probably die doing the same. I'm currently experiencing an interesting problem with the ignition in my 07 Freestyle ltd. Hours of trial-and-error have led me to an ignition problem. Somehow, when the ignition is on and vehicle is running, the interior lights randomly go on. This only happens when the switch is in the right spot...so randomly, while driving down the road the switch will vibrate to the right spot and cause the light to trigger on. Sometimes this light actuation will be only for a second, other times, the ignition needs to be wiggled to turn the light back off. It's driving me crazy, especially during night driving. I hate to replace the ignition lock/tumble assemble and then have to re-key the door locks also. I appreciate your feedback! Thanks.
