trailfndr
Is the day after the super bowl a black out day for after the fact excused absence? No, its not the day before or after a holiday. HOWEVER, Keep in mind, if absentism effects production in any way, the Company has the right to DENY the absence, and charge an AWOL
Fatso
I remember hearing about the government maybe one day declaring Monday after Super Bowl a national holiday. Now onto the game. The Giants have a proven track record of beating the Pats but that only makes the Pats out for revenge! Is this the game that Tom Brady will use to cement his standing as 'The Greatest Ever'?I dont think this game comes down to the quarterbacks, they are both excellent. It comes down to which team can play at least an ounce of defense. Pats 27 Giants 24.Make that Pats 30 Giants 24 {got to cover the spread}!!!!FATSO needs another sandwich,Honey!!!! Pioneer
Well, we don't really celebrate Veterans day on the day it is observed. The Union kowtowed to the hunters and made it coincide with opening day of gun season every year. Maybe in the next contract we can get them to move Martin Luther King day to the day after the Super Bowl.
Pioneer
Why don't they just give us a personal day so we can use it when we want to Depends on which day you are talking about. the hunters would be mad if you moved (not)Veterans day, and it would be politically incorrect to make MLK day optional. trailfndr
Why don't they just give us a personal day so we can use it when we want to You already have personal days. They are called Excused Absence Allowance, and Family Days. Simply schedule them and you will have nothing to worry about. EAA Days can be used nearly any day..Very few exeptions unless you are already in the attendance system
