Unreal Posted July 17, 2012 Share Posted July 17, 2012 The 2013 V40 Polestar will not compete on price, but everywhere else the 280 horsepower V40 Polestar will be very strong competition against the Focus ST. This article even mentions that the V40 shares hardware with the ST. Not sure what hardware it is sharing, but you can see obvious similarities. I think the V40 Polestar looks pretty good, and seems like it will have higher performance. It will also be all-wheel drive. Here is a link to the Auto Blog article which includes a gallery... papilgee4evaeva Posted July 20, 2012 Share Posted July 20, 2012 The Focus and V40 are platform-mates, so the two cars are very similar under the sheetmetal. ^ note: the 2.0turbo in the Cadillac ATS, which is a size larger afaik, only makes 272hp, 260#ft V40 T5 has an advantage of 0.5 L and one cylinder over the ATS... and the ATS will have two gasoline engines above the 2.0T.
