trailfndr
You can have more than 20% second tier workers. Rawsonville and Sterling don't count against the 20%. Please refer me to the language in the contract that excludes these facilities
kenp77
Having come from a right to work state Idaho in 5 yrs there will be more people not paying dues than are, basically UAW will not amount to or be a threat to any of the big 3 auto makers and they will do what they want more so than now!! fordd
I think its more like 2000 total production workers between the 2 plants at the moment but not all are entry level right now.

Been in the contract for several years now, even though this is the first year that Ford really hired any 2 teir. Its not going away, no matter what we do. It saves the companies too much money. Our contract allows 20% 2nd teir, GM and Chrysler are allowed unlimited 2nd teir. You can bet that we will be allowing more after 2015, in order to be "Competitive" Walter is rolling in his grave....

Nope, you can thank Gettlefinger for that one. he started it with suppliers, and continued it with the Auto companies. King SHOULD have fought to elliminate it...but he didn't have the balls to take on the company at a time when profits were up, and they NEEDED cars.
