Hugh Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 To whom it may concern: I was building and pricing on Ford and Lincolns websites and I noticed something. You do not have the option of choosing FWD or AWD for the Titanium Taurus, Fusion, Escape and the Lincoln MKZ D37 so far. I think the Edge Limited and Explorer as well. That been said, I would like here in Canada at least to have the option of ordering a FWD only for these vehicles. With the available safety features already, it's for some of us overkill to have to order AWD and take the extra weight and Fuel penalty. Believe it or not, it doesn't always snow or have rain and ice. Most applications of FWD with Traction Control, EPAS and Torque-Vectoring is plenty. At least give us the choice. If your numbers of purchases from the dealerships are in AWD, fine. Let a customer choose for themselves. Just like if we want to have a block-heater.
