CMXNRG
Last week my '06 F-150 5.4l wouldn't start. Plenty of crank but would not fire. I borrowed an OBD 2 reader from a co worker that took about a week to get from him then when I plugged it in it didn't have any codes and when I cranked it to see if it would throw out any codes it started. Has any one else experienced a similar problem and figured out what it was?
screw4us
Take a look at your fuel pump driver module. You'll have to drop the spare down and its mounted on the frame right up there. Had mine do that to me a few times before it actually quit for good. I should have looked into it then because laying on my back in 2 inches of slush/snow in a parking lot was not fun! There known to corrode and fail. Edited March 13, 2013 by screw4us
CMXNRG
Can the corrosion be cleaned if its on a connection or is it in the module and must be replaced? Thanks

CMXNRG
There it is, just like yours. The hardest thing about doing that job was removing the spare tire access lock. Good thing I never had to change a flat on the side of the road.
