pilotattitude
I have a little over 10K on my FE, and I usually notice a little shiver @ idle when I do come to a stop light, however, I never really notice a fluctuation on the RPM gauge. Always thought it was a bit weird.

khyros
I have a little over 10K on my FE, and I usually notice a little shiver @ idle when I do come to a stop light, however, I never really notice a fluctuation on the RPM gauge. Always thought it was a bit weird. Yeah, I have the same thing. When it was new, almost every idle was rough, but recently I've had a few idles where I didn't notice the engine was on, and the typical idle is marginal instead of complete crap. Who knows, maybe by the time I hit 20k the idle will be real smooth One can hope!
Elf911
Guys I have a 2013 Ford Escape with the 2.0 liter Eco Boost and am having the same rough idle issue. I am no mechanic or automotive specialist but with the rough idle that I'm experiencing and everyone else seems to agree with, I would say it is probably a clutch problem. My car also vibrates pretty bad when I take an extended amount of time to stop, sometimes even getting some torque bursts. Not sure if anyone else is seeing that as well. Just my 2 cents We don't have a clutch it's a torque convertor on our automatics and yes I get the little shutter too at a stop but it's not too bad and going by the tach and a scan gauge the rpm is not fluctuating it's just interference I think. I'm just hoping the other issues get fixed when I bring my E in and leave it with them. I'm starting my own "laundry list" now
