okaydave
What does everyone prefer, the chenille or sheepskin wash mitt? http://www.autogeek.net/sheepwas.html http://www.autogeek.net/gold-plush-wash-mitt.html
bluspikez
I use one more like the chenille one when washing with soap, though in my experience the different wash mitts used haven't made as much of a difference as the drying method does. My goto for drying always has been (and likely always will be) a chamois.
HenryVIII
I have used auto geeks microfiber bone and their natural sea sponge. Both are highly recommended, and their DP microfiber wash solvent.
jcg1005
I have switched to microfiber everything. Wash. Dry. Wax on. Wax off. I have also found Meguiars Quick Detailer an awesome product between waxing. Does a great job making car look perfect after a wash. I can't wait for warm weather to get back at cleaning cars!! Therapy of sorts for me.
Bailey151
What does everyone prefer, the chenille or sheepskin wash mitt? Neither, a grout sponge by Lake Country. Releases dirt into the rinse bucket & washes out real nice at the end. http://www.detailedimage.com/Lake-Country-M7/Blue-Grout-Sponge-P293/
jcg1005
I might have to give that a try! Looks good!
Bailey151
I might have to give that a try! Looks good! Under full disclosure - I use the "two bucket, One Step No Rinse (ONR)" method. That's one bucket with the ONR product & one for rinsing. The grout sponge works very well with this & traditional hose/cleaner on the rare occasion I use that approach. missileman88
The weather broke enough here in Chicago that I finally got a chance to do a hand wash on Saturday. I use a wash mitt like detailed above. When it comes to drying I get most of the water off with one of those California Water blades and then get the drops with a good chamois.
