callynoah
I am new to the forum and had our vehicle on our first trip and had either a rock or piece of ice hit our mirror cap causing the 3m to rip an scratched to plastic shell of the mirror cap. How hard are they to replace as I have found not much info regarding the part or replacement of the cap/cover Thanks for any help.

You could order a replacement cap from your dealer, using the VIN to ensure the correct cap, and then examine the backside of it to determine how it attaches to the mirror assembly. I’d bet that it simply snaps on.
Going_Going_Gone
If it is like previous mirrors, you have to "pop" the glass loose from the power adjustment motor to have access to the attachment screws etc. Now if you had zero-deductible glass coverage and the mirror itself was damaged, it could be an insurance claim.
