Dealers will use the same order code for multiple orders which is why I also ask for other identifying information. The one piece of fool-proof vehicle identification is a VIN - there will be 1 of 1 vehicle with that VIN so there is no confusion. So early on in the process - shortly after placing your order is when I need the other stuff to locate your order info. As soon as I have a VIN for you I don't need any of that other junk and it is way easier for me to find your vehicle in the system.
