Welcome! You will gain a lot of valuable insight from the members of this group.

F250/350 are great trucks...I was a diehard GM guy till I drove a F350 for work years ago. I have had them all, Ford Chevy Gmc Dodge. Trucks are like pistols, Colt, Springfield Glock and S&W. They are all good and they all have some bad, and we each have our own preferences that have formed form our past experiences and expectations.

I chose the f350 for my latest truck. Weighing all variables I feel it was the best choice for me, or at the very least it is the one that I liked the most out of all my choices. 10 years from now I may choose different.

I also have been a diehard GM guy.  Current truck is a 2013 3500 dually Duramax but I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for a 2022 F350 Platinum that was ordered last March 26th.  I want to go SRW away from a dually.  Almost embarrassed to say but the main reason I'm making the jump to Ford is because currently Chevy doesn't have adaptive cruise control on their HD's.  Like it so much on our car we don't want to be without it on the truck.

To me the 350 is kind of a no brainer since the price difference between it and a 250 isn't that much.  I'm sure either will handle towing my boat which is 11,000-ish lbs.
