rich.transit
I think I understand "Price Protection" (with capital P's) is only something that happens during the mid-year pricing, however I see Ford is doing the right thing protecting customers across model years, at least in some circumstances for models like the Bronco and MachE. I ordered a Ford Transit cargo van from a dealer in Kansas City, only miles from the factory, last October, based on the dealer's 100+ allocation (and the dealer had COVP orders submitted for those 100 by the end of the year). All the production woes of the last year have led to likely half their allocation not being built, mine included. The dealer/sales rep has long claimed that Ford won't offer price protection across years, but clearly something got Ford to do that for their other high demand/low supply models. What is the best way for an individual buyer to get Ford's attention? The dealer is telling all the customers to flood Ford's 800- number with calls, but I'm not confident that's going to do anything. Are there other contact points, either phone or email? What if ordering with an AXZ Plan?
akirby
Those were Ford online reservations so they’re getting special consideration. I doubt they’ll do it on other vehicles.
