ddkelly3103
Hello everyone, I just bought a 2012 f250 crew cab long bed 4x4 today with the 6.2. It runs and drives great but have noticed a few things I didn’t pick up on the test drive after driving it home 100miles, it has a very slight vibration around 60mph. Hardly noticeable, but it’s there. Second, there is a slight rubbing/grinding sound coming from the front left wheel that it only noticeable when driving along somthing where the sound can echo off of. Sounds like the heat shield rubbing, but I already checked that. Any ideas what it could be? I was thinking a wheel bearing however it doesn’t change when turning either direction. One more thing, I turned the hubs in to test the 4wd and even with the selector switch in 2wd the front end still started to bind up on the drivers side when turning on pavement. Possibly a bad u-joint on the axle shaft? Edited July 20, 2022 by ddkelly3103
coupe3w
You would probably be better off on one of the truck forums then in here.

Possibly a bad u-joint on the axle shaft? Well I'd say that's normal as you have locked the axle side-to-side with the wheels.
