NDL
Right now I am running 225/70 tires, on stock 15" steel wheels. I would like to upgrade to the 16" aluminum wheels, offered on newer Rangers. What type of tire should I use, so not as to affect my speedometer calibration? Thanks
NLPRacing
A 225/70-15 is 27.4" in diameter. A 235/60-16 is 27.1" in diameter. A 225/60-17 is 27.6" in diameter. Check out Tire Rack to get more info.
bri719
I am actually doing the same thing, so this thread is very helpful. but I don't really care about speedo calibration too much, if it's off by a tiny bit that's fine. gearing is more of a concern for me unfortunately the wheels I ordered 2 months ago never arrived. dealer couldn't get them, and never told me. so now I'm shopping again

Thanks Just have the dealer reflash the computer for the right diameter tire and solve that problem.
