petepusa
Can anyone help me? I can't decide which rims I should take? Are there any advantages or disadvantages between the two?
ELlover
I like the 20's better, but I dont think there is any difference as far as ride and handling go. I am actually thinking about getting 22's on mine and putting the factory 20's on my F-150. But if you are not concerned with the look of your rims, then the 18's would be fine. Its pretty much a personal choice.
edamon
I'd pass on the 20" factory upgrade. It's a $995 option - better to put that money into a better looking set of aftermarket 20's. Sell the 18's to help offset the cost. -d
djellenz
Mine was built with the 18" wheels. I worked out with my dealer to install the factory 20" wheels and tires. As far as ride quality or road noise, there is no difference between the two. It's just your preference between chrome or machined aluminum. Usually one can trade in the new 18's and get a good $800+ credit towards new rims and tires. I would rather do that next time and get better looking rims.
