  1. On CTV news Saturday nighy they said workers lost EI top up, so it straight ei when on layoff, time to end pattern bargaining, hope gm workers stick to their guns and their contract.
  2. I was at the meeting and at no time did Buzz tell us any bullshit, all the stuff he and Jim Stanford talked about is all backed up by the news and at no time did they lie to us,I am glad to see real people with brains outway the naysayers who could not come up with a better deal,or guarantee us that there could be a better deal if we waited till sept, and our only alternative was to strike. Well if my family and I could move in to your house that you live in with your mom and dad, and had a guarantee we can stay for free till we are back up on feet, then I would of voted no,but as anything in life, nothing is guaranteed.
  3. This Contract has been well thought out by Ford, and I believe it's a feeler, come on would you agree to this,no options just this one.Ford wants this settled before the new hires in June, so they don't come in at 80% and fullwage after 18 months.Buzz doesn't want two tier, but it's here already, auto-modular 17.00 an hour [CAW MEMBERS] building our dashes and engines axles sub frames all of our old jobs , just because we can't see them under our roof doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Time is on our side for a change.Ford wants it bad so Buzz go back and secretly negotiate some more money. He is selling our 40 hours off cheap. I have 15 years left if allowed to stay multiply by gross wage 1300 = 19,500.00 bucks I am loosing , but Ford is saving.Multiply by 8-9-10000 employees , big bucks saved. I willing to freeze wages for three years, but not cola. bring two tier but start them and keep them at 70%. It's still a big saving for Ford, or do we face pay reduction this or next contract. Two tier is coming no matter what either Buzz deals with it now or the new guy sets precedent. 10% co-pay is still good for drugs but clarifacation is needed what occurs at 250.00. Times are tough but the worker producing shouldn't pay the price for the comfort of all except , the worker themself. With this contract as it stands Buzz wins ? Ford wins, Government wins worker looses. You decide, I have, NO WAY ,sorry Buzz NO THYME FOR BASIL :stats:
  4. That would be a good start, then Zoran can spend time on his hair, cause when he pulls his head out of his bosses ass, sure is messy.Anybody else since we're in the christmas spirit, the gift for employees.
  5. There is no place, and if knuckle heads would realize that, maybe we wouldn't have the attitude that Ford owes me, stop riding your dads coat tails, he paid his dues , now the whiners have to pay theirs, to many free riders, especially from absentee's , most heard comment , i'm an absentee I don't have to do that job. Well suck the big one, free rides are over , do your job like everybody else or go home. Too many think Ford OAC is here forever not matter what happpens, keep that attitude and we will see on the unemployment line. You know,I am just a frustrated worker with our future hanging in limbo, no stability in the plant yet,and it scares the hell out of a person, how do you face your kids and wife if the place ever closed, and you try your best to do your part to contribute, and some others just screw around carelessly, because their belief is we are here forever.
  6. I heard that the union had nothing to do with the call backs, it's all the plant managers doing, our union is scared to put out a flyer to state anything ,because last time they pat themselves on the back for doing a wonderful job ,those people got laid off two weeks later , messing up their lives and hopes , and where are they now , I WANT my 80.00 a month back , how about user fees instead , when I need them I WILL pay them. I know all of talk is going around next election boot the bums OUT.
  7. 16 people have had their layoff recinded and swindell [mps] said when new plant manager comes in on monday ,that the rest of 159 layoffs would be recalled. hopefully that is true this all happened november 24/2006
  8. Well I am glad a/ hole is gone and I will raise a glass and toast the hourly workers for their percervience and showing upper management that we can tolerate somethings, but we have a line and garneau crossed it ,and now paid the piper. Lets hear one more BOO,BOO, Have a nice day Frank
  9. We all have to remember, the whole plant has to work as one team, the bad guys are the competition, not each other.Survival is getting tougher by the day , and if you don't believe that, then you are not reading the paper properly or listening with both ears. Everybody is and has a crucial part in this puzzle place.Obvious the union is very quiet ,and I think they will pay for their silence at the next vote for all positions. How many times did I hear an informed membership, is a strong membership, heck Dale Wishnousky put out a letter stating what's going on.Hello 707 union people,we are waiting, tell us something ,lets us know ,at least throw us a bone. The rumours are flying faster than we can build. It's always sad when people get laid off , and we can hope they return soon when the V returns and stay for the people mover,so go easy guys , use your energy towards doing our job the best we can and, keep ourselves and family safe and healthy.
  10. ouch,I new that from reading a previous post in this catergory
  11. Well Mark Fields has seen our Canadian operation, and ? Did we hide the extra workers in the conference room ,put leaders on the door line to make it look good ? So management still up to their own tricks again. Nice hair Zoran! Feedback #1 more :fan: #2  town hall on Monday ,both shifts,#3Garneau stays as an assistant nice hair Zoran :kissass:
  12. :  I like Mrs Fields she tastes good
  13. Rumor has it :titanic: F Garneau is to be gone by the new year and  Dale Wishwashy is supposed to take over, and we can only hope he remembers what happened to P.N.AND M.V. and that could happen to him if he gets to feel the same love of F.G. BOOhoo :stats: :devil2:
  14. :slap: Is it true that Mark Vanderveen and Nardozzi got fired from Oakville Assembly Plant ,two superintendents, that should of been gone long time ago since they don't have a clue about cars or people. They would try to manage people the old fashion way of intimidation,do it or your fired attitude, which doesn't work in todays day and age. Some person said they saw security escorting them out ,but is it really true. :stats:
  15. I believe in supporting our brothers and sisters, BUT they left our union local to this other union so they can make three times what we make AND they didn't picket the powerhouse, let the management run the place peacefully, while we suffer with out pay, you didn't think you would get paid out there in the nice sunshine did you,PLUS if you read our contract book , We cannot picket if front off the powerhouse, and where were they when 360 something of our brothers and sisters were let go?. THEY crossed our picket line when we were on strike,so as much talk in the plant as the facts come out I don't want to see anybody out of work, but it's only four people, and the rest of Ford world is shedding, they might as well be part of it if they to be so called part of OAC.
  16. WORKERS FROM ONTARIO POWERHOUSE PLANT THAT SUPPLY COMPRESSED AIR TO OAKVILLE,S ASSEMBLY COMPLEX,ARE PICKETING OUTSIDE OF PLANT, STOPPING FORD ASSEMBLY WORKERS GOING TO WORK,AND WORKERS GETTING DOCKED FOR LOST TIME EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT AUTOWORKERS FIGHT,WE ARE GETTING DRAGGED IN AND LOSING MONEY. WE HAVE BEEN JUST BACK TO WORK AFTER TWO AND HALF YEARS OF BIWEEKLY WORK AND BI WEEKLY LAYOFFS, WHICH TOOK A BEATING FOR A LOT OF MEMBERS AND NOW WE ARE LOSING AGAIN FOR SOMEBODY ELSE'S FIGHT.
