  1. Ughhhh the Fing naming Scheme is still alive! Is the first thing I though of when hearing the name Damn its coming out in SEPTEMBER? OMFG Guess we'll see it next month at NYIAS Anyways..even though it starts with an F, I like the new name...
  2. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...showtopic=11688 Then again most of them do buy them used :shades:
  3. So in other words...well have a RWD Sedan based on the Mustang platform :D
  4. I think it was just Ford bashing to bash Ford, just for the hell of it. Anyways...which "Japanese" transmission does the CX-9 have? How have the reviews for the GM version of the JV 6-speed?
  5. The MKZ/Zephyr have been bringing in a younger audience to Lincoln.
  6. I seriously doubt it, since Volvo cars is very tightly integrated with Ford now. I can see maybe Jag and LR going away, but in no shape or form can I see Mazda or Volvo going anywhere, unless Ford was really desperate.
  7. But not over it...and according to insiders here... Guess we'll see...
  8. The new BLS was a total dud in sales http://www.forbes.com/columnists/2006/11/1..._1114flint.html
  9. can get far better MPG with Direct Injection and I guess turbos...plus remember what I said before...the Twin Force is getting over 20 MPG in a F-150..thats insane! And an awesome selling point
  10. Same thing as the 3.5L...bigger...and close to 300 HP out of it on regular
  11. I'd assume that it would be an all new design...or at least totally new front and rear ends on it.
  12. If they are making 250K units of this engine a year...cost wont be an issue. Plus the 4.6L won't get 20+ MPG like the TwinForce is supposed to get in a F-150!
  13. How does a V12 Cadillac have to do anything with a Falcon saving Lincoln? IMO the Falcon isn't going to save anything if its brought over to the US
  14. I'm sure that Ford has that problem solved...I'm assuming they have 2 different sized turbos to deal with that.
  15. Some Sort of Mustang and SVT announcement....Possibly a GT500KR or Cobra R model.
  16. When I got my Mustang, it was cheaper to insure then the SVT Focus that was 4 years old it replaced! My rates are pretty reasonible for living in NJ also...I think I'm paying 12-1400 a year for full coverage.
  17. And a fairly ugly one at that (IMO)
  18. Apparently Toyoda has yet to learn from their past mistakes with the T-100/Tundra...they are on their 3rd generation (and on the market for 15 years plus too boot) and still can't come close to what GM or Ford is doing with Large Trucks, esp in the sales dept. It would be stupid to discount them as not as a competitor, but be running scared of them is something all together different. As for cars, well Ford has had issues with that for well over 30 years and has only gotten its shit together (or at least in CR eyes) in the past couple years....
  19. You underestimate the power of the stupidity of teenage and 20-something year old drivers...they can kill themselves with just 100 HP in a car. In my personal experience, my 98 Mustang GT was more of handful to drive with just 220 HP vs the 300 HP in the 06 Mustang GT I have now. You have to factor in things like traction control and the like also.
  20. If Ford fixed all the supposed Problems with the Fusion We still find something else to bitch about the Fusion.... Is that what this place is all about? a Bitch and Whine fest about how "WE" feel Ford should be run, based on our own little needs and wants? When our needs and wants aren't what the vast majority of people who buy Ford products are? The vast majority of bitching on here is over bench racing numbers.... Remember the saying: You can't please everyone. Another saying: The perfect is the enemy of the good.
  21. I wouldn't call it a success...never heard anyone say...I bought a GM for OnStar, not to mention most people drop it like a bad habit after the 1st year subscription is up.
  22. You bring up a good point...GM decided that 0% financing was the thing needed to move Cars after 9/11 and well everyone except the Japanese are paying for it, because they followed suite. I think Ford has finally realized that 0% super sales and unrealistic sales projections of years ago isn't the way to run the company any more, and when new projects get approved, they have much more realistic sales and pricing goals on them.
  23. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/03/19/fords-n...g-aston-martin/
  24. Give the car some time to break in also. I wasn't getting consistent MPG numbers out of my Mustang till I hit 10K miles and I've been getting about 20 MPG after 20K miles, week in, week out.
