  1. Grille & headlights look like the 4-Runner. Front windshield slope looks similar to either the Uplander or new Jeep style. Rear doors back look like the new Xterra and/or Pathfinder. I am not pleased with the interior style. Who knows the quality of material, but it doesn't look great. EDIT: Sorry, didn't read all posts before replying. Guess by the initial reviews, the interior material quality isn't up to par with previous Honda's, so the pics are more truthful than I was lead to believe.
  2. Wow! That was a waste and really got off topic. Can't really see the BRX, will wait for final judgement until after the camo comes off and specs are released.
  3. Sounds like you want a compact SUV. I like Jeeps, they have tons of capabilities, just not the greatest road manners as many have stated. The Torrent, personally, I dislike. Sure it has a nice smooth ride in city, but lacks any real capability and the style just doesn't appeal to me. Now if you were wanting something more in between the two, I'd agree with others that you may want to look into the Xterra 4X4. Not as smooth as the Torrent, but better than the Jeep. Not as good off-road as the Jeep, but tons better than the Torrent. Plus, the Nissan nameplate is a lot more reliable than Pontiac and is roughly on par with the Jeep. Anyways, get what you like, you'll be driving it, who cares what we all have to say. Just think about the purpose of the vehicle and what you need/want it to do. Never want to get into something that you find out later doesn't fit the bill. Good luck on your purchase.
  4. It's okay, but looks like almost every other sedan on the road. At least it's a good start though.
  5. As stated previously, Toy did the same last year. We'll see where they are at the mid year, end of the 3rd Qtr and end of the year. They could pass GM, they may fall back in line as #2. Either way, I really don't care who is the #1 automaker in the world, I'm more worried about the US Economy and housing market currently.
  6. I think this is both a good and bad move for Nissan. When purchasing my '06 F150, I looked at all 1/2 tons on the market. The Titan was #2 on my list, but the rear diff & interior were the trucks down falls in my point of view. Now I thought the Dodge interior was even cheaper than the Titan, so I think this will be a move in the wrong direction at least on interior quality and fit/finish. Now I do think it's a good move for Nissan being they'll improve upon the horribly small and problematic rear diff and can get into the HD lineup using the Cummins (the best part of ther Ram lineup). Now reading the articles about how Dodge has too many '07 Rams and still many '06 Rams sitting in warehouses all across the nation cannot be good. Nissan is already having problems moving the Titan, but their not producing the number of trucks as Dodge, so I'm unsure the deal is a good move for Nissan.
  7. I frequent a few Tundra sites, and there are some former domestic owners that converted simply due to the 5.7L/6spd auto. So I wouldn't say they're all driving them because it's built by Toy, but I would venture to guess that the majority do purchase it because of the supposed Toyota superiority. And all that's ever posted on these Tundra sites are how fast the Tundra is or how the tailgate buckles and the notorious bed bounce.
  8. The majority of these Tundra's look like they've either been rolled or ran off the road and hit something. Could it be too many car people have purchased a truck, simply for the HP/TQ rating and/or bragging rights of having the latest/greatest vehicle, not knowing how to drive/handle a full size truck and it's weight? Examples: Driving too fast, try to avoid an obsticle and roll the truck or driving too fast and don't know the truck will require much more distance to stop and end up running into another car or pole. By all the Tundra commercials I've seen, you'd think this thing could pick up speed, stop and manuever like a Ferrari. I think too many people have been swayed by this type of advertisement. Then again, we may just end up seeing people trying to stop a 747 with an F150, you never know. Just my 2 cents.
  9. RE: Tire Recall - Had a 99 Ranger that was part of the recall, my 99 EX had Generals so it wasn't recalled. Never had a tire blow out on the Ranger, thank goodness, but did get a new set of tires. I also saw that test done on the EX with a blown tire and it basically proved the majority of the issue was the driver. Sure depending on the surface of the road, speed, how the seperation occured and many other factors could have played into these EX's rolling over, but simply was too many roll-overs can be attributed to the driver. Just like most accidents (not all) are caused by driver error not a faulty vehicle. Now if everyone remembers, Firestone also was part of the recall and this effected more vehicles than just EX's. I remember seeing pics of an S10 Blazer & Toy Compact Truck that rolled due to the tire blowout. Problem was the EX got most the heat because there were more of these tires installed on the EX than any other vehicle. This was due to the fact they came stock on the EX, while aftermarket on every other vehicle. Titan vs Tundra - Not too fond of either. Both seem to have their goods/bads, but neither appeal to me stylewise. I like the #'s these trucks put down, but I'd rather have a proven solid reliable truck than one that simply goes fast. Toy has a more reputable name than Nissan (brainwashing), Nissan is not the "Newest Biggest Baddest" truck on the road anymore in peoples eyes, Toy is spending over $100M in advertising while Nissan doesn't spend nearly that amount, Incetives for the Tundra are higher than the Titan. I know in my area, the dealers are having higher incentives on every model except the CrewMax 5.7L 4X4's SR5 or Limited. They are overloaded with everyother model, 4X4/4X2, Reg/DblCab & 4.0L/4.7L/5.7L. People seem to want want the biggest baddest model.
