The new Edge starts at $27,995 including shipping, which is $200 less than the outgoing model. The 2011 Edge has a new 3.5-liter V-6 engine that improves fuel economy to 19 miles per gallon in the city, 27 mpg on the highway. Sales of the Edge through July were up 33 percent to more than 65,000 in the United States. Since the crossover was introduced in late 2006, Ford has sold more than 400,000 Edges as of this past week, the company said. The automaker claims that the Edge has the most sales of any midsize crossover during that timeframe.

It happened again last night at Wayne Assy. Went down hard with multiple major breakdowns. Down for over 9 hours. There is a lot of graphs and charts in the plant, do you think there is one somewhere that shows lost production since the bean counters took over FMC?? They slashed the trades O/T, weekend work, and parts buying. Somebody needs to hold the bean counters responsible. This was very rare in the past but so common now it is unbelievable.

At WAP when we have a tradesman or two off on vacation and management refused to cover them with O/T. Then when the crap hits the fan (as it seems to do daily now) they freak out that you can't be everywhere at once and lost units are the result. Then what do the brilliant minds of Ford Motor Co. do????? Work all of production O/T to make up the lost units instead of working a few tradesman O/T in the first place. Reminds me of the Real Men of Genius ads.

So its not just Wayne Assembly that would rather pay for breakdowns with lost units instead of buying parts???

I noticed the 2010 Escape Hybrid now is available with a remote start. Is this a dealer installed option?? Or is it factory installed?? The reason I am asking I have a 2006 Escape Hybrid and I would love to have this remote start installed on my vehicle. When I bought my vehicle I was told you couldn't get one on the Hybrid. Could I get this done?? What would be the cost??
