  1. I don't think they will stop building them I think they will drop the second shift. We were initially told when the Ranger comes in 2018 that the plant would be on one shift for two years until the Bronco was introduced in 2020. If they plan to eliminate that shift then why not do it early if demand is not there. Flat Rock should be concerned too. They sold 6636 units total last month and they work two shifts?
  2. That's not true you can retire at 48 with 78 points.
  3. If you retire at 48 you take an early benefit life reduction and your pension is 32.8%. Supplemental will make up the difference

  5. I doubt it. They took the total number of trades at MAP on 3 shifts and just divided them into 4 crews. I think they added like 11 heads total at the 3 areas paint, final, and facilities. But now there cutting back I'm sure they want to cut 25%.
  6. 8 Hours ?? You don't know about AWS do you. Try 4 days at 10.7 hours. And if your in Skilled Trades your in for a treat 12 hours a day forced. Yippee.
  7. But Lear created a sub assembly classification that tops out at $15.25 so not all workers are going to the top rate. http://www.autonews.com/article/20140922/OEM01/140929987/pay-gap-remains-under-lear-uaw-contract-after-demise-of-two-tier

  9. myfordbenefits.com You can put in your retirement dates and it will show what you get. If you retire before 62 you take a penelty on your pension but supplemental makes it up if you have 30 years. If you don't have 85 points at retirement your penelty on your pension remains for the rest of your life. If you have 85 points your penelty goes away at 62. Go to this web site and put in dates that will show you retiring at 84 points and also at 85 points and compare. It will show pension increase at 62 for 85 points but not at 84 points. Points are years of service + age.
  10. 5-5, 6-23, 6-30 vac, 8-11 vac, 8-18, 8-25, 9-15 Only confirmed weeks are 5-5 and both vac weeks

  12. MAP shifts 7am - 7pm - 2.5% shift premium 7pm - 7am - 12.5% shift premium
  13. There is no parking at MAP for back to back shifts. When they were training the 3rd crew they had them park at Wayne Assembly and was using shuttle buses back and forth like at the airport. The parking at MAP is very small. I would say 2 shift is the option here.
  14. http://www.autonews.com/article/20131126/OEM01/131129882/ford-to-idle-fusion-plant-in-michigan-extra-week-in-dec-to-curb#axzz2lnYupNQB 88 day supply of Fusions, over 100 day supply of Focus and C Max. FRAP doesn't need anyone and MAP doesn't need 3 crews. MAP has produced way more vehicles than sales every month for the past 17 months of 3 crew.

  16. MAP Paint, Final and Facilities B & D crew 4 on, 2 off, 3 on, 5 off. A & C crew 4 off, 2 on, 3 off, 5 on. There was a vote and this schedule "won" if you want to call it that. 7am-7pm 2.5% shift premium 7pm-7am 12.5% shift premium
  17. MAP home of the C Max Energi and Focus Electric does not have any employee/public charging stations. I asked around and nobody seems to know why the factory that makes the EV vehicles doesn't have charging stations for employee and public use. Maybe this news release is old?? Do you have a link? Ford supply's a map of public EV stations in MFM but none of their factories have one that I can see. Strange indeed. I bet the glass house has them and their not public!! Funny how other company's are going green and installing these but Ford is not. http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130731/AUTO0104/307310019/1148/auto01/Japan-automakers-team-up-add-EV-charging-stations
  18. Wait until your regular scheduled day is an actual holiday, like Easter this year, which in itself is not a UAW or Ford holiday. The holiday is Good Friday. So you will be required to work on the actual holiday for straight time or take 12 hours vac or personal day. There's a lot of overlooked details like this in AWS.
  19. This info is in the employee benefits PDF file. Type of Retirement: Eligibility Requirements: Normal Retirement • Age 65 or older with at least one year of credited service* Regular Early Retirement • Age 55 but less than age 65 with at least 10 years credited service • Any age with at least 30 years credited service Special Early Retirement • Age 55 but less than age 65 with at least 10 years credited service and retire under mutually satisfactory conditions • Age 50 with at least 10 years credited service and laid off due to certain plant closings. (The date of the layoff and the plant closing both must occur after 10/1/84.) Disability Retirement • Under age 65 • At least 10 years of credited service and • Totally and permanently disabled for at least 5 months
  20. Problem with that is they force you to take 12 hours Vac or personal time for each day. Take a week off and you use up 84 hours time. MAP forces us to take 12 hours on our days off although our schedule is 3 days this week and 4 days the next. They are happy to work you 3 days and pay you 36 hours one week but if you want to take a day off on the 4 day work week they force you to take 12 hours time.
